The VIT-Smooth 90° Rosette Collar (Spring Fix) Ø175mm is designed to provide a professional and tidy finish to your flue system installation. Ideal for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances operating at temperatures up to 600°C, this collar is perfect for covering entry holes into non-combustible walls or register plates. Manufactured from zero carbon steel and coated with a durable powder vitreous enamel in a sleek matt black finish, this single skin connecting flue system is both hard-wearing and aesthetically pleasing.When installing, ensure there is a minimum clearance of 375mm from any combustible materials to guarantee safety and efficacy.
The VIT-Smooth pipe, with its friction fit joint, does not require sealing, but for added security, joints can be treated with fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant to prevent condensate leakage and maintain the pipe's appearance. Designed to be cut to size, it is important to cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rust.Maintenance is crucial, especially for solid fuel appliances. The chimney should be inspected and cleaned regularly, at least once a year, to ensure optimal performance.
Incorporating VIT-Smooth with access doors at directional changes will facilitate easier cleaning and inspection.Please remember to use appropriate PPE during installation, and always ensure the VIT-Smooth pipe is installed correctly with the smaller diameter pointing downward to contain condensates within the flue system.
