Remember, VIT-Smooth pipes are designed for use as connecting pipes and should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls. Installation is straightforward, but it's crucial to ensure that the smaller diameter of the pipe is pointing downward to contain condensates within the system. VIT-Smooth has a friction-fit joint, eliminating the need for sealing, although jointing compounds can be used for extra security.
Regular maintenance, including chimney inspection and cleaning, is essential for optimal performance, especially for solid fuel applications.
