The VIT-Smooth 250mm Pipe with Door (Ø 200mm) offers an exceptional solution for connecting gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances to your flue system. This robust, single-skin pipe is crafted from zero carbon steel and finished with a durable powder vitreous enamel coating in matt black, ensuring both strength and style. It’s designed to handle temperatures up to 600°C, making it a versatile option for various heating applications.
Important installation guidelines include maintaining a safe distance from combustible materials and ensuring the smaller diameter is directed downwards to contain condensates. For secure fittings, friction joints do not require sealing, although fire cement or high-temperature silicone could be used for added security. With built-in access doors for easy cleaning and maintenance, this pipe is a top choice for solid fuel appliances, necessitating chimney sweeping at least once annually.
Always wear appropriate PPE when handling and cutting the VIT-Smooth pipe, and cover exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rust.
