The Triplelock - Oil Cowl, also known as the Chinaman's Hat Ø 100, is specifically designed for terminating a flue liner in oil installations. This high-quality cowl is suitable for appliances powered by gas and oils up to 28-second viscosity, comfortably handling temperatures up to 260°C. Constructed from durable 316L grade stainless steel, it features a single skin, flexible flue liner that is 0.10mm thick.
The liner is built with five convolutions between seams and a unique Triplelock seam folded in three planes, ensuring a secure, long-lasting seal. Additionally, this flue liner is Kitemarked to BS 715 and has been rigorously tested to meet BS EN 1856:2 standards. To install, make sure the liner fits the chimney, follow a meticulous process involving sweeping the chimney, using a nose cone and string for liner placement, and sealing with a terminal.
Regular maintenance is recommended for optimal performance, at least once a year.
