The Sump Adaptor (Ø 200) with a 325mm square plate is an essential component for connecting to the base of a chimney stack that has an existing clay liner, without the need for an additional chimney flue liner. It ensures a seamless and secure fit, designed with a downward-facing spigot to suit single wall pipes. Constructed from robust 1mm thick, 316-grade stainless steel, this adaptor promises longevity and resistance to the harshest conditions.

Installation is straightforward: Position the plate against the underside of the stack, mark and secure it with screws into the surrounding masonry. For an optimal seal, use Fire Cement and Fire Rope. The single wall pipe can then be easily mounted onto the spigot, finalising with additional Fire Cement and Fire Rope to ensure airtight connections.

This adaptor must be used only after the existing clay liner passes a thorough smoke test to confirm it is in good condition.

1. Begin by ensuring the existing clay liner has passed a thorough smoke test before proceeding. This is crucial to maintain safety and compatibility. 2. Position the 325mm square plate of the Sump Adaptor against the underside of the chimney stack. Carefully mark the mounting points where screws will be inserted into the surrounding masonry. 3. Drill the marked holes and secure the adaptor using appropriate screws, ensuring the plate is firmly attached to the chimney structure. 4. Apply Fire Cement around the perimeter of the adaptor to guarantee a tight, fire-safe seal. Follow up with Fire Rope, if recommended, to further reinforce the connection. 5. Finally, mount your single wall pipe onto the downward-facing spigot and complete the seal with additional Fire Cement as needed. Always refer to local building regulations and manufacturer guidelines for a safe installation.
