The Storm Collar - Ø 80 is a crucial element for enhancing the durability and safety of your chimney system. Specifically designed for use with solid fuel, gas, and oil appliances such as woodstoves, gas coal effect fires, and oil boilers, this storm collar ensures your flue remains watertight and protected from extreme weather conditions. Constructed from robust materials, the outer skin is made of 304 grade stainless steel with a thickness of 0.4mm, while the inner skin uses superior 316 grade stainless steel, also 0.4mm thick.

The insulation is composed of compressed rockwool, providing excellent thermal resistance with a density of 200kg/m³ for TWPro and 128kg/m³ for KC. Each component is meticulously fully welded, and the required clearance from combustibles is 50mm for TWPro and 60mm for KC. The TWPro system is both HETAS approved and CE marked, meeting rigorous safety and efficiency standards.

It can be easily installed using a Locking Band to secure the twin wall insulated chimney parts, ensuring a seamless and effective fit.

• Position the storm collar approximately 25mm above the highest part of the flashing to ensure proper water run-off. • Apply a continuous bead of high-quality silicone sealant along the top edge of the collar and around the flue for a secure, water-tight fit. • Secure the assembly using the recommended Locking Band, ensuring that the dual-wall insulated sections remain firmly in place. • Maintain the required clearance from combustibles: 50mm for TWPro systems and 60mm for KC systems. • Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines and local building regulations during installation.
