The Screw-FIX Long Tail Adaptor - Ø 80, constructed from 0.6mm thick 316 stainless steel, serves as a secure transitional joint connecting rigid single wall flue systems to MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. Perfect for multi-fuel applications, this adaptor is designed to withstand temperatures up to 600°C, making it suitable for use with wood (under 20% moisture), smokeless coal, gas, and oil-fueled appliances. Complying with Building Regulations Document J, our adaptor ensures your flue system remains fully enclosed within masonry chimneys, preventing any exposure of the flexible liner.
To achieve a gas-tight seal, it should be securely fixed using fire cement, ceramic rope, or high-temperature sealants. Easy maintenance is guaranteed, with the flue system designed for straightforward sweeping and yearly inspections. For solid fuel applications, a list of certified HETAS registered chimney sweeps can be found at www.hetas.co.uk.
Ensure your flue system stays in top condition by cleaning it at least twice a year: once at the end of the heating season to clear any deposits and once at the start of the new season to check for blockages.
