Designed to comply with Building Regulations Document J, it must be used inside a masonry chimney and can withstand temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation), making it suitable for wood with less than 20% moisture, smokeless coal, gas, and oil appliances.To prevent water ingress and protect your appliance, the Rain Cap Ø 250 should be used in conjunction with a top plate and clamp, eliminating the need for an insert.
Additionally, this cap aids in supporting the vertical weight of the flue liner, provided the chimney structure is sound and properly maintained. For optimal performance, sweeping and maintenance should be carried out at least annually by a competent person, and twice a year for solid fuel appliances.With its robust construction and reliable performance, the Rain Cap Ø 250 is an integral part of any effective chimney system, ensuring longevity and efficiency.
