The Nose Cone Ø 200 is a vital accessory designed for seamless installation with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. Specifically crafted to attach to the leading end of the liner, it ensures the flexible liner can be smoothly pulled down an existing chimney without snagging on the sides. According to Building Regulations Document J, flexible flue liners must be fully enclosed within a masonry chimney, as non-masonry enclosures like timber or plasterboard are not acceptable.
This nose cone is suitable for use with appliances up to 600°C (T600 designation) and works well with fuels such as wood with less than 20% moisture, smokeless coal, gas, and oil. All installation components have been meticulously crafted to ensure a complete and fully functional chimney system. For maintenance, it is crucial to sweep and inspect the chimney at least once a year, or ideally twice if using solid fuels.
Always use a competent person for this task, and refer to HETAS registered sweeps for reliable service. Avoid using chemical cleaners or mild steel tools to protect your stainless steel chimney system.
