The MI-VIT Lite 150mm Rain Cap is an essential component for your flue system, compatible with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances up to 600°C. Manufactured from zero carbon steel and coated in a durable vitreous enamel with a sleek matt black finish, this rain cap not only looks good but provides excellent durability. Designed to prevent water ingress into your flue, it ensures optimum performance and longevity.
Easy to install with its friction fit joint system, no additional sealing is needed for high-temperature installations. However, for pellet installations where positive pressure is present, seals must be applied at every joint. The MI-VIT Lite system's clever design allows for easy cutting, though it's essential to cover exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rust.
During installation, always maintain a distance of at least 450mm from combustible materials, and wear appropriate PPE. Regular maintenance, including yearly chimney sweeping for solid fuel appliances, is recommended to keep your system in top condition.
