This single-skin flue bend, made from robust zero carbon steel, is engineered for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances operating at temperatures up to 600°C. Please note, it should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.
Installation is straightforward with a friction fit joint design, eliminating the need for sealing. However, for added security, joints can be treated with fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant. Always ensure the smaller diameter end points downwards to contain any condensates within the flue system.
For combustible materials, a minimum clearance of 540mm must be maintained. Regular inspection and cleaning of the chimney are crucial, especially for solid fuel applications, and are facilitated by access doors at directional changes. Always use proper PPE during installation.
