The FireHawk CO7B Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarm is essential for any home or commercial setting, providing an advanced level of protection against the dangers of carbon monoxide. Featuring a sealed-in lifetime lithium battery, there’s no need for battery replacements, ensuring consistent operation. The top-of-the-line Figaro electrochemical sensor ensures long-lasting accuracy and reliability, detecting even minimal levels of CO for maximum safety.
Installation is straightforward and can be placed high in a room (above windows and doors) but not less than 150mm from the ceiling to accurately sense CO emissions. For optimal performance, position the alarm where it can be heard by everyone in the premises, ensuring it’s no closer than 1 metre to the source appliance. If positioning is a challenge, consider installing additional alarms throughout the premises, especially to protect vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabled, and children.Regular maintenance is key: test the alarm weekly using the test button, and clean it every six months with a damp cloth, avoiding aerosol sprays and chemicals.
To maintain the sensor’s efficiency, vacuum the vents regularly to keep them free from dust and insects. In case of any issues, consult the handbook or contact customer support. Remember, Carbon Monoxide is hot when released and rises to the ceiling before descending, so positioning the alarm correctly is crucial.
