The VIT-Smooth 90° Elbow (Ø 200mm) is an essential component for connecting pipes in your heating system. Suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with temperatures up to 600°C, this elbow is crafted from zero carbon steel and finished with a powder vitreous enamel coating in a stylish matt black. This single-skin connecting flue system is designed to link your appliance with a flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system. It's crucial to note that VIT-Smooth pipes are not to be used for passing through ceilings or combustible walls. During installation, maintain a minimum distance of 375mm from combustible materials and ensure the smaller diameter points downward to retain condensates within the flue system. Although the friction fit joints do not require sealing, using a jointing compound can provide added security. Always cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rust. Regular maintenance, such as sweeping the chimney at least once a year, is recommended for solid fuel applications.
