The VIT-Smooth GLOSS 150mm Pipe - Ø 125mm is a top-tier connecting flue pipe crafted for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances that operate at temperatures up to 600°C. Constructed from zero-carbon steel with a gloss black vitreous enamel coating, this pipe ensures both durability and aesthetic appeal. Designed solely for use as a connecting pipe, the VIT-Smooth should link your appliance to a flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system but is not suitable for passing through ceilings or combustible walls.Installation is straightforward; however, it is crucial to maintain a distance of at least 375mm from any combustible materials. The smaller diameter end should always be pointing downward to prevent the escape of condensates. For additional security, although the friction-fit joints do not require sealing, they can be treated with a jointing compound such as fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant.The VIT-Smooth can be customized by cutting to fit your installation needs, but ensure that any exposed steel is covered with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting. During installation, always use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Regular maintenance is recommended, particularly for solid fuel applications, which includes annual chimney sweeping to ensure efficient operation.
