Importantly, the VIT-Smooth should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls. Easy to install, the pipe features a friction fit joint that doesn’t require sealing, though additional security can be added using a high-temperature silicone sealant or fire cement. The VIT-Smooth has an access door designed for easy inspection and cleaning, which is particularly crucial for solid fuel applications. When installing, ensure it is placed correctly with the smaller diameter pointing downward to keep condensates inside the pipe.
