Constructed from zero carbon steel with a durable matt black powder vitreous enamel coating, the VIT-Smooth pipe is built to last. Note that it must only be used as a connecting pipe and should not pass through ceilings or combustible walls. Installation requires ensuring the smaller diameter is pointing downward to keep condensates within the flue system, and you should keep 375mm clearance from combustible materials. Optional high-temperature sealant can be used for added security. Regular maintenance is important, especially for solid fuel applications, which is made easier with access doors at directional changes. Remember to sweep and maintain your chimney at least once a year.
