The MI-VIT Lite 1000mm Pipe (Ø 175) is a high-quality, single skin connecting flue system, crafted from zero carbon steel and finished with a durable vitreous enamel coating in a sleek matt black. Engineered to withstand temperatures up to 600°C, it is suitable for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances. The MI-VIT Lite is designed exclusively as a connecting pipe between your appliance and either a Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System. Note that it should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.Installation of the MI-VIT Lite requires careful attention to ensure the pipe is correctly oriented — the smaller diameter must always point downward. This design helps keep condensates within the flue system. The pipe offers a friction fit joint which eliminates the need for sealing in high-temperature installations (T600). For applications involving positive pressure (P1), seals are necessary on every joint. The pipe can be cut to size but ensure any exposed steel is covered with high-temperature paint to prevent rust.Regular maintenance is essential for the longevity and safety of your flue system. Access doors should be installed at directional changes to facilitate inspection and cleaning, especially for solid fuel applications. We recommend a minimum annual chimney sweep for solid fuel appliances.
